Attorney

John Ewers

John W. Ewers was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 2001, but his legal career began in earnest in 2003 when, as a public defender, he fought for the rights of the accused in Everett Municipal Court.  He quickly earned a reputation as a zealous advocate for his clients, as he amassed a wealth of litigation experience through a contentious and aggressive trial practice.  In 2005 he joined Peter Mazzone’s law firm and traveled all across the State representing people accused of misdemeanors and felonies.  In 2008 John returned to public defense, and he practiced in King County for sixteen years.  During that period, John litigated hundreds of cases, doggedly advancing the interests of his clients in cases as simple as drug possession to allegations and charges as serious as aggravated murder and child rape. In 2024 John rejoined the Mazzone Law Firm, as a partner.
